Scary Story Part #2

In the spirit of Halloween, here is part two in my effort to create a scary short story. Check back for further installments. Part 1 Here When I first learned to drive, traveling through these fog patches was always a thrill. Especially when it was dark. These roads are usually less used, so when I was the only car on […]

Scary Story Part #1

In the spirit of Halloween, here is part one in my effort to create a scary short story. Check back for further installments. Whenever daylight savings time comes around, the drive to work always changes. Normally, I leave for work at 7:40 am. I have a 20 minute drive on the brand new freeway, and that puts me at work […]

My New Bar

I made a stereo cabinet that I got from the Habitat Resale Shop into a bar. All I did was rearrange the shelves a bit, put mirrors on each shelf, and update my stemware/liquor collection. This was a pretty cool project; I’m very happy with the results! Cocktail hour at my place tonight.

Crafty Wedding Getaway

I didn’t have anything to do with this particular bit of craftiness, but my boyfriend did. We attended a lovely wedding this weekend, and Rob helped decorate the wedding getaway car. Below see shots of the car and the gorgeous couple!

Eviction

There was an eviction the other day at an apartment complex by my work. It was so bizarre to see someone’s personal things (medications, diplomas, family photos) all sitting on the side of the road with a bunch of strangers rifling through everything. (Note to self: Rent due Wednesday.)

Morrissey at the House of Blues

My best friend Erin came up for a weekend of Flight of the Conchords, Grey Gardens, shopping at Belk/Tuesday Morning/TJ Maxx/Marshalls with my mom, sushi, buffalo wings & black death, and the biggest event–the Morrissey show at the House of Blues. The show was sold out & awesome. “How Soon is Now,” was amazing as […]

Joe Walters Art at Beach First Center

At a recent visit to the new Beach First Center (the first LEED-NC building in the area), I happened to notice these really cool sculptures in the lobby. There are 100 pieces depicting the native flora & fauna of South Carolina. Upon further investigation, I found that the sculpture was the work of Joe Walters, who resides in Charleston, SC […]

Random Images from my Recent Life

There’s not much going on specifically right now, so I thought I’d do a post of some of the pictures I’ve taken recently. They’re all pretty random. Some weird line in the sky when a thunderstorm was a rollin’ in Guy on Motorcycle (Maybe I want a tattoo) Cats in Boxes Mom at Stoolies Me & Rob at Stoolies (where […]
